New York-based actor, writer, and producer

exciting things happened in 2024…

BABY BUMPS, a short comedy Jamey wrote, co-produced, co-directed, acted in, and edited (whew!) premiered at the Soho International Film Festival. It also screened on opening night of the Yonkers Film Festival where we won  the  award for Best Comedic Short Film!

About the film: All hell breaks loose when Beth, a high-strung mother-to-be, is gifted the wrong stroller at her baby shower. As her childless and slightly-chaotic best friends Sara, Tara, and Clara try (and fail) to relate, Beth goes into full meltdown mode. Through recorded video messages for her unborn child, we learn that Beth might not feel as prepared for motherhood as she lets on.

  • Jamey was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where she grew up singing, playing piano, and hamming it up on stage. After graduating with a BFA in Acting from Webster Conservatory in 2013, this midwestern gal packed her bags and headed to the Big Apple.

Today she is a proud member of AEA and has worked regionally at theatres such as Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, St. Louis Repertory Theatre, and Arrow Rock Lyceum. She studies on-camera acting with Heidi Miami Marshall.

  • Jamey’s first short film recently won Best Comedy Short at the Yonkers Film Festival and she’s currently penning her first feature. When she’s not screenwriting, she’s a freelance writer and editor for various digital media sites, such as Well+Good and MindBodyGreen.

  • Jamey recently produced her first music video for pop artist KFIR.
